Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Engineering Data Coordinator to support our engineering and construction operations by entering project information into our Design Request System. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring project data is accurately captured, organized, and available for use by engineering, project management, and field teams.

The successful candidate will receive information from Project Managers, Project Assistants, Field Engineers, Superintendents, and other project stakeholders and enter that information into company databases and internal systems. While previous geotechnical or construction experience is beneficial, it is not required. Training and technical support will be provided by our engineering team.

This position will initially be office-based to facilitate training and collaboration. After successful completion of approximately six months in the role, a hybrid work arrangement may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Enter project data into the company's Design Request System accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain and update records throughout the lifecycle of projects.
  • Organize, track, and verify information received from multiple project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with engineers and project teams to resolve missing, unclear, or incomplete information.
  • Ensure data consistency, completeness, and quality within company databases.
  • Assist with document management and electronic record organization.
  • Maintain confidentiality of project and company information.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to data management and workflow processes.

The Engineering Data Coordinator will routinely work with:

  • Geotechnical boring logs
  • Load test results
  • Installation logs
  • As-built records
  • Material test coupons
  • Grout strength test data
  • Project correspondence
  • Soil and laboratory testing information
  • Construction quality control documentation
  • Other project-related engineering and construction records

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or coursework in engineering technology, construction management, business, or a related field
  • Previous data entry, administrative, construction, engineering, or technical documentation experience
  • Experience working with databases or project management software
  • Familiarity with construction, geotechnical, or engineering documentation
