Suncoast Post-Tension is North America’s largest unbonded post-tension specialist. Suncoast has been in business for over 30 years, and we are dedicated to providing the construction industry with engineering expertise, responsive service and manufacturing excellence to ensure safe, timely and cost-effective installations, restorations and repairs. 

We are seeking a skilled, safety-minded, and motivated Lead Machine Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will operate our proprietary Automatic Cut Line (ACL) machines—specialized, custom-built equipment engineered explicitly for our post-tension manufacturing processes. Beyond machinery operation, you will serve as the primary operational lead for your production crew, ensuring safety protocols, strict quality standards, and daily output goals are consistently met. This is a hands-on position requiring strong technical competence, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to operational excellence. 

• Machinery Operation: Configure, program, and safely operate custom ACL (Automatic Cut Line) machines utilizing computerized CNC control consoles to meet precise production metrics
• Crew Leadership: Act as the operational point of contact and lead for your crew—assigning workflow, monitoring team performance, maintaining morale, and driving overall throughput
• Quality Control: Conduct continuous inspections of processed materials to guarantee total compliance with our rigorous structural quality guidelines 
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Utilize strong mechanical aptitude to handle machine setups, identify operating variances, and troubleshoot minor mechanical adjustments or issues
• Safety Advocacy: Foster a safety-first workplace culture. Enforce proper PPE compliance, ensure safe material handling, and maintain a clean, organized workstation

• Technical Experience: Proven experience running CNC machinery and navigating computerized consoles is strictly required
• Mechanical Inclination: Strong, demonstrable mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand complex, automated industrial equipment
• Leadership Capabilities: Natural ability to lead, direct, and motivate a small crew in a fast-paced environment
• Equipment Proficiency: Prior forklift experience is highly preferred
• Work Ethic: Reliable, highly safety-minded, quality-focused, and comfortable with a rigorous industrial workload ("not afraid to get dirty")

Physical Requirements 

• Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, and crawl for extended periods of time  
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment up to 50 pounds regularly, and greater weights with assistance  
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and machinery safely and effectively for extended durations, including repetitive hand and foot movements  
• Ability to climb on and off equipment, ladders, and elevated platforms, and work at heights when required  
• Ability to use hands and tools to perform physical tasks, including rigging, securing loads, and equipment adjustments  
• Ability to maintain situational awareness and react quickly to changing job site conditions to ensure safety  

• Ability to hear and understand verbal instructions and safety signals, including working in environments with high noise levels (hearing protection may be required)  
• Ability to see and distinguish colors, depths, and distances to safely operate equipment and perform tasks  
• Ability to work extended hours, including overtime, weekends, and travel as required by project needs  
• Ability to perform physically demanding work requiring stamina, endurance, and strength in a fast-paced, high-risk environment 

Salary Range: $23.00 - $26.00 / hr DOE

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant internal and external experience, knowledge, skills, scope of job, geographical location or other factors permitted by law
