Keller is looking for an experienced Field Engineers to report into our Wadsworth, Ohio location. Projects will be based around in the Cleveland, Ohio, Columbus, Ohio or Detroit, Michigan.
The Field Engineer provides on-site technical support to the project team members. Assists with project planning, material tracking and pricing, and cost reporting. Performs quality control tasks including data tracking, completion of field logs and daily reports, load tests, and performing quality checks. Monitors real-time data during production activities and ensures all work complies with safety standards and project specifications.
Project Support and Initial Planning
• Reviews and understands project specifications, contract drawings, geotechnical baseline reports, and requirements.
• Ensures resources are available to meet project needs.
• Conducts pile load tests and/or other Quality Assurance/Quality Control tasks as required.
• Coordinates and generates the required documentation such as field data reports, schedules, field logs and resource requirements.
• Gathers, communicates, and maintains documentation for production targets and goals on a daily and weekly basis.
• Performs data monitoring and collection tasks involving automated computer/software systems if applicable; compiles and prepares data reports.
Risk Management
• Fully understands and complies with Keller risk management policies and procedures.
• Recognizes major risks and takes appropriate measures to reduce risk to the company.
Financial Management
• Collects time and quantities while maintaining daily and weekly logs/diaries.
• Interfaces with Superintendent on quantity updates as needed.
Change Management
• Works with Project Manager to track and log any changes to the project.
• Assists project team in identifying changes that need to be escalated.
Safety and Quality Assurance
• Participate in pre-planning and toolbox meetings.
• Ensures compliance with all Keller and OSHA safety requirements.
• In the event of a safety incident, work in partnership with HSEQ to support employees and project management teams per Keller policy.
• Logs all quality nonconformance issues and notify management for resolution.
• Exercise stop work authority for Safety and Quality issues.
Additional Duties

Background Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Experience)
• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• Excellent computer, written and verbal communication skills necessary.
• Must be willing to travel
Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000 per year
Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant internal and external experience, knowledge, skills, scope of job, geographical location or other factors permitted by law
