Geo-Instruments, a Canadian subsidiary of Keller specializing in geotechnical and structural instrumentation projects, as well as vibration and noise monitoring and control, is recognized in Canada and internationally for its expertise. We provide tailored and innovative solutions for instrument selection and have all the necessary resources to successfully carry out the various construction and operational phases of any monitoring project. We work worldwide on projects across a variety of sectors, including mining, civil engineering, energy, and the environment. Our headquarters are located in Sainte-Julie, Quebec.

 

We are looking for a dynamic, dedicated individual who is eager to make a difference for our clients. This full‑time position is based in Sainte-Julie, Quebec.

Responsibilities

The Data Analyst will report to the VP Engineering Services, and his/her main responsibilities will include:

  • Set up automated data collection from our monitoring devices
  • Configure our web platforms for data visualization
  • Verify the quality of measurements
  • Perform daily checks on our systems and communicate with project managers
  • Perform troubleshooting and provide support to clients and the internal technical team
  • Maintain our cloud servers (updates, data file management)
  • Schedule tasks to improve the efficiency of maintenance and monitoring work on our servers

Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following requirements: 

  • DCS (diploma of college studies) in computer science
  • Junior or intermediate-level candidates with strong knowledge of mathematics, data analysis, statistics, and programming
  • Proficiency with the Windows environment and Microsoft Office, as well as Teams and SharePoint
  • Good knowledge of Python, Ruby, or C
  • Bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to analyze and address issues related to datasets
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
  • Customer-focused and professional
  • Recognized for their team spirit and ability to work well with others
  • Experience in instrumentation systems, telemetry, and metrology (an asset)
  • Experience in geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, and construction (an asset)

Salary Range: CAD $67,000 to $77,500, DOE  

  

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant internal and external experience, knowledge, skills, scope of job, geographical location or other factors permitted by law
