Overview

Suncoast Post Tension, Ltd. is an established post tension and rebar manufacturing company that has been in business for over 30 years. We supply construction related materials to builders from one of our nine facilities in the US. 

 

Responsible for supporting our manufacturing operations by driving process improvements and operational excellence initiatives. This role focuses on implementing Lean methodologies and tools across the business, identifying opportunities for waste elimination, enhancing productivity and ensuring sustainable improvements in manufacturing processes. Plays a key role in leading cross-functional projects and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives across all manufacturing operations.
  • Facilitate and implement process improvement activities using Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, Standard Work and Visual Management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost reductions.
  • Train and mentor employees on Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Analyze manufacturing performance metrics, process data, and workflow to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for improved processes, procedures and standard operating practices.
  • Monitor the implementation of changes to ensure sustained results and continuous feedback.
  • Support the development of a culture that embraces Lean thinking and proactive problem-solving.
  • Report on project progress, KPIs and cost savings achieved through continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

Education:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.

 

Required background:

 

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred or ability to obtain.
  • Experience with ERP/MES systems and manufacturing analytics tools.
  • Proficiency in 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, Value -Stream Mapping, TPM and other continuous improvement tools preferred

 

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

 

  • In-depth understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, tools and techniques to optimize production processes and minimize waste.
  • Ability to analyze production systems and workflows, identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues that arise in the production process and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, convey complex ideas in a comprehensible manner, and influence positive change.
  • Project management skills to plan, execute, and oversee improvement projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to understand trends, make informed decisions, and measure the impact of implemented changes.
  • Knowledge of quality control standards and safety regulations to ensure that all work is performed in compliance with these guidelines.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work in a manufacturing environment, which may include standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and working with machinery.

Additional Information

Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000

 

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant internal and external experience, knowledge, skills, scope of job, geographical location or other factors permitted by law
