KELLER, a leader in geotechnical construction, is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and representing Keller at industry events. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the geotechnical industry, a passion for innovation, and a commitment to excellence.

 

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to operate out of either our Nashville, TN or Knoxville, TN offices.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Client Acquisition: Collaborate with project managers and senior business development managers to identify potential clients and generate new business leads. Develop and implement strategies to engage with target clients and convert leads into long-term business relationships.

  • Relationship Management: Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and they are informed about new services and offerings. Build new client relationships through networking, presentations, and industry events.

  • Client Education & Promotion: Educate clients about Keller's services through tailored presentations and discussions. Represent Keller at local industry meetings and events, promoting our brand and building a strong presence in the market.

  • Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging market opportunities. Provide insights and recommendations to the team to help refine our business development strategies.

  • Support to Project Management: Assist project management teams with opportunities, proposals, and bids as needed. Collaborate closely to ensure a seamless transition from business development to project execution.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in the geotechnical industry, with a proven track record in business development, client management, or a related role.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.

  • Technical Skills: Understanding of basic geotechnical design principles and their application to Keller’s services. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced in using CRM tools. Familiarity with geotechnical software and construction technology is a plus.

  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Personal Attributes: A positive and proactive approach to work. Creative problem solver with a passion for continuous learning and improvement. Humble yet driven, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and results.

Other Requirements:

  • Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of the construction environment, specifically within geotechnical engineering and related services.

  • Availability: Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and site visits.

Additional Information

Salary Range: $109,000 - 166,000 per year

 

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant internal and external experience, knowledge, skills, scope of job, geographical location or other factors permitted by law
