Keller is looking for a Project Manager to work remotely from anywhere in the United States. However, extensive travel to project sites is required. As a project manager you will be assigned to lead heavy civil construction projects in the US and Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
  • Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
  • Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed.
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.
  • Initiating and maintaining fluent liaison with clients and other stakeholders to facilitate project activities.
  • Analyzing contract requirements, special provisions and bid proposal to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, company policies procedures.
  • Preparing and administering routine pre-construction submittals, correspondence, RFI, RFP, negotiation memoranda, and contract documentation to ensure timely and coordinated submittal.
  • Identifying contract, owner directed changes, issuing proper notification and follow up with the client.  Preparing and negotiating responses to Requests for Proposal (“RFP”), change order requests and claims.
  • Updating and maintaining, monthly, Network Analysis System, project budget and cash flow projections.
  • Updating, monthly, Project Life Reviews including work progress, contract status, costs and scheduling.
  • Working with superintendents and foremen to plan, schedule, organize and direct construction activities.
  • Assigning labor and equipment resources to the Project(s).
  • Procuring supplies and materials to complete project.
  • Recognizing major risks and taking appropriate measures to reduce risks to the Project.
  • Providing guidance, direction, coaching, and support to direct reports.

Qualifications

  • BSc/BA in engineering, building science or relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as project manager in the foundation or heavy civil construction fields. Preference will be given to diaphragm wall and cutter soil mixing experience.
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and CAD and Scheduling Software
  • Familiarity with construction/ project management software
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • A team player with leadership abilities
  • Knowledge of risk management and budget management principles.
  • Experience in managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Experience with construction contract negotiations and claims management.
  • Strong financial understanding and experience in project budgeting and cost control.
  • Available to travel to manage projects in the US and Canada.

Additional Information

Salary Range: $95,000 - $130,000 per year

 

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant internal and external experience, knowledge, skills, scope of job, geographical location or other factors permitted by law
