We are seeking a Senior CAD Technician to join our Cumberland, RI area office, who has the desire to work in an industry leading company with a reputation for excellence.  This position involves production of preliminary and final construction drawings with some direction using AutoCAD or Civil 3D. This role will assist in project scoping by producing soil profiles, area take offs, shoring profiles, etc. This person will also be responsible for creating construction documents, as-builts, sketches, and graphics while working directly with the engineers of the Northeast Business Unit.

Responsibilities

  • Draft engineering and construction documents using AutoCAD programs
  • Prepare working construction drawings from conceptual layout to detailed finished product
  • Utilize standard engineering practices and techniques to adjust and correlate data
  • Revise drawings from markups and/or instructions
  • Create as-built drawings utilizing.csv files for importing data point Northing/Easting
  • Complete red-lined as-built drawings
  • Create and work with BIM models in Revit
  • Prepare survey files for field layout using GPS or Total Station
  • Coordinate and manage assignments with other team members
  • Complete assigned tasks on all projects in a timely manner to ensure deadlines are met

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher is preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of Engineering/Architecture Drafting experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Suite software
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD LISP functions
  • Experience with Autocad Civil 3D is preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in Revit and Sketchup is preferred but not required
  • Ability to understand site grading and utility plans and incorporate into design drawings
  • Ability to prepare design sections from working site plans
  • Strong organizational, time management, attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Perform tasks and solve problems with a high degree of independence
  • Work with team members, both in person and remotely
