Keller is looking for an experienced Site Engineer based out of our Miami, FL and Tampa, FL locations.

Responsibilities

Project Support and Initial Planning

  • Supervises and monitors construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Implements and enforces quality control measures to ensure that construction work meets engineering standards and design specifications
  • Performs pre/post bid job site inspections.
  • Maintains detailed and accurate records of construction activities. Prepares and compiles information and documentation for the project and contractual requirements.
  • Alerts the Superintendent and Project Manager of potential project impact relating to resource management, crew make-up/size, and other essential items pertaining to the project.
  • Responsible for material and quantity take-offs, scoping documents, terms and conditions, and delivery as applicable to support the procurement process and production analysis.
  • Interprets construction drawings, blueprints, and design specifications to ensure accurate implementation on-site.

Risk Management

  • Fully understands and complies with Keller risk management policies and procedures.
  • Recognizes major risks and takes appropriate measures to reduce risk to the company.

Change Management

  • Works with the Project Manager to track and log any changes to the project and identifies changes that need to be escalated.

Financial Management

  • Analyzes targets and goals, job cost summaries, and other reports.
  • Reviews weekly job cost summaries and advises the Project Manager.
  • Gathers monthly financial reports and participates in recap reviews.
  • Tracks production quantities for revenue billing.

Safety and Quality Assurance

  • Ensures compliance with all Keller and OSHA safety requirements.
  • In the event of a safety incident, work in partnership with HSEQ to support employees and project management teams per Keller policy.
  • Assists in resolving all quality nonconformance issues.
  • Exercises stop-work authority for Safety and Quality issues.

Opportunity Management

  • Assisting with estimate and proposal preparation, takeoffs, soliciating price quotes and reviewing specs.
  • Assists in developing project schedules, monitoring progress, and implementing adjustments as needed to stay on schedule.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field with a minimum of 4 year’s of industry experience.
  • Excellent computer, written, and verbal communication skills necessary.
  • Must be willing to travel.
