Overview

Job Title:  Technical Trainer & Writer

 

Reporting Relationship(s):  Engineering Manager and VP of Operations

 

Job Summary:  Responsible for documenting and communicating manufacturing processes and procedures along with creating clear and accurate technical documentation, work instructions and standard operating procedures that.  Provides technical training to employees to ensure safety, quality, and compliance of manufacturing processes application.

Responsibilities

  • Produce clear and concise technical documents, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, validation protocols, and process manuals for manufacturing
  • Collaborate closely with subject matter experts and technical teams to understand  manufacturing processes, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation
  • Ensure that all technical documentation complies with industry regulations and other relevant quality standards.
  • Work closely with quality control and assurance teams to align documentation with quality specifications and regulatory requirements
  • Partner with manufacturing technicians and engineers to understand process details and requirements needed to achieve manufacturing goals
  • Develop digital documentation in line with existing documentation access and storage platforms, such as sharepoint.
  • Deliver training to employees to ensure safe application of work instructions and standard operating procedures in order to meet quality and compliance standards

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field; or equivalent experience

 

Required background:

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a technical writer, with a focus on aseptic manufacturing processes. • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel), Adobe (Photoshop, Acrobat),
  • Experience with capturing and retouching digital photographs
  • Experience creating work instruction elements in Word
  • Strong attention to detail; strong personal organization, collaboration and time management skills
  • Lean Manufacturing methodology knowledge and experience a plus

 

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to manage workload with changing priorities while achieving project deadlines
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear and concise documentation
  • Proficiency in document management and version control tools
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and regulatory requirements
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong problem solving / troubleshooting practices
  • Being a team player and working cross-functionally
  • Managing resources and relationships - internally and externally
